LOVE IS THE MESSAGE BALL 2012 POSTPONED INDEFINITELY |
|
INFORMATION In March 2012, Pride and Promote of Los Angeles will present the “Love is the Message Ball”
The purpose of this extraordinary event is to empower and encourage the message of loving one another and saving lives in communities that continue to lose lives to the HIV/AIDS global epidemic.
Pride and Promote will also honor six individuals for spreading the message of love, faith, support, healing and awareness
The Ballroom Culture is an underground art community of thousands across the country and is once again grabbing mainstream attention with the help of the feature film “Leave it on the Floor” which has taken honorary and top prizes since its debut at the LA Film Festival in 2011. “Ballroom” was also featured in the KTLA-TV (Los Angeles, Tribune Broadcasting Co.) Prime Time special “Then and Now: LA’s African-American Story”.
We anticipate ball walkers from coast to coast to converge on the City of Angels for this emotionally powerful and uplifting event ready to battle on the runway in the names of love, respect and HIV/AIDS awareness.
Pride and Promote, the organization behind the largest and first diverse community pride celebration in the country is honored to host such a remarkable event bringing together the most talented, trendsetting and stylish individuals in the country to compete. The “Love is the Message Ball” will also be a once in a life time experience for spectators from all walks of life, some who will witness for the first time, a culture that showcases what we’ve traditionally known as art and fashion in the most mesmerizing ways.
We invite you to join us as a promotional partner, sponsor or even just for the experience to help us deliver a message to our community that love is stronger than anything, especially a disease like HIV/AIDS. Pride and Promote, is a non-profit organization and proceeds from the “Love is the Message Ball” will benefit AIDS awareness and youth prevention programming at our annual community pride celebration (July 4-8th, 2012 marking 24 years of educating, advocating for and celebrating unity.)
We appreciate any support you can send our way by December 1st (World AIDS Day) to see that this will be a successful event. |
