In 2011,  a Host of Celebrity Entertainers ensured the success of the pride Festival.  Pride and Promote has featured other entertainers Including Drag Shows, Poets, Professional Dancers and several other performing artist.

2012 ENTERTAINMENT OPPORTUNITY

PRIDE AND PROMOTE, AT THE BEACH (ATB) is accepting applications for musicians, Professional Dancers and Performing Artists interested in appearing at the 2012 BEACH AND UNITY CELEBRATION, July 4 – 8. Performers of all genres are encouraged to complete this application in order to be considered to be featured in our celebration which will include bands, solo musicians, DJs, and more. The festival will showcase artists in multiple performance venues throughout the festival.

The festival offers a great opportunity to artists promoting their talents and performances to the general public in the Los Angeles area. If you feel that your talents lend themselves to this type of venue and would like to perform at our celebration, please review our guidelines and then complete and submit the application below.

There will be two main areas at the 24th Annual beach and Unity Celebration in which to showcase talent:

HOST HOTEL: Opening Reception will feature a DJ and performances on the main stage that will be part of a scheduled, choreographed full-length program. The reception will be led by co-masters of ceremonies. We’re in search of a high level of quality entertainment and energy brought to the main stage. Saturday night’s after party will primarily feature CELEBRITY PERFORMANCE, DJs, and PROFESSIONAL DANCERS we are also open to considering HIGH ENERGY, UPBEAT acts.

BEACH VENUE: Saturday’s Beach Party Unity Celebration will feature CELEBRITY PERFORMANCE, various DJs, and performances on the main stage including Drag Performances, singers/singing groups, bands, dancers, etc.

OTHER VENUES: May as needed feature CELEBRITY PERFORMANCE, various DJs, and performances on the main stage including Drag Performances, singers/singing groups, bands, dancers, etc.

Policies:

1. PRIDE AND PROMOTE is a non-profit organization therefore we are not offering compensation for acts that are selected to perform. However, there will an area set up for all entertainers to sell their products at the venue of their performance. Only Celebrity Entertainers will be transported into the venue of their performance.

 

2. Entertainers selected will be used in PRIDE AND PROMOTE’s marketing materials and on the official PRIDE AND PROMOTE website (atbla.com or Myblackpridela.com) and Social Sites.

 

3. Likewise, entertainers selected are expected to assist in promoting their performance to their online audience.

 

4. The amount of time and line-up positioning will be determined by the PRIDE AND PROMOTE Entertainment Committee based on the type of activity that is anticipated.

 

5. Performers must abide by the laws of the City and County of Los Angeles and the State of California. Los Angeles Black Pride reserves the right to stop ANY performance in process that is judged not to be in compliance with these laws.

 

6. Performers under the age of 18 will need to have a parental/guardian release form on file, which will be provided later in the application process.

 

7. Applications will be accepted starting as soon as the forms are released. All applications must be submitted online. Final selections will be made by May 1st, and only entrants accepted will receive an email confirming acceptance to the 24th Annual BEACH AND UNITY CELEBRATION (AT THE BEACH 2012).
