Vendor Opportunity 2013

Why Be a Vendor / Exhibitor?

The 25th Annual Pride & Promote Beach & Unity Celebration will take place July 3- 7 2013. The annual beach party will take place on Saturday, July 6.

 

Thank you for your interest in exhibiting with us! We are always looking for exciting exhibitors that have new and different products and messages for the community. Whether you’re interested in showcasing your business or organization, running for office, registering voters, selling your new book or album, or offering the latest chef masterpiece, Pride & Promote is one Southern California’s largest gathering LGBT community at a Beach event.

 

In order to be a vendor, you must first fill out the application below and submit your payment online or via mail 60 days to the Scheduled Event

 

By submitting your application and payment to be a vendor with Pride & Promote, you agree to and understand the following:

Deadline

The deadline to submit applications and payments to be a vendor in the 25th Annual ATB/L.A. Black Pride is 60 days to the event.

 

 

Vendor Participation

In the past, Vendors and Exhibitors have included:

  • Souvenir and Merchandise Retailers.

  •  

  • SGL/LGBT-friendly Businesses seeking to recruit new employees and customers.

  •  

  • Political Candidates interested in meeting with constituents.

  •  

  • HIV and other Health Testing.

  •  

  • Social and Sports Organizations seeking new members.

  •  

  • Educational and Political Organizations distributing information.

  •  

  • Food Vendors.

  •  

  • Artists and Art Organizations.

  •  

  • Games, Attractions, and novelty booths.

 

Fees

Hotel Vendors

  • - $75 Per Day

 

Beach Party Vendors

  • -Food Vendor Truck $400.00

  • -Food Vendor No Truck $750.00

  • -Merchandise Vendor $500.00

  • -Information Vendor $400.00

  • -Non Profit Vendor $300.00

  • -Art/Craft Exhibitor $200.00

  • -Media Station $500.00

  • -Health Info Vending $400.00

  • -Health Test Large Truck $1000.00

  • -Health Test Small Truck $500.00

 

Promotion:

We are offering a $100. Money back guaranty promotion if your full payment is received 90 days to the Scheduled event. Promotion rate only applies to PAYMENT DATE and not by the date the application was filled.

 

 

Vendor Space Usage:

We only offer a 10X10 booth space with a table and two chairs At The Beach™ event. At the host hotel we only offer a table and two chairs. No vendor will be allowed to keep any items outside their booth area. If you feel more space is needed, please purchase additional booth(s). Additional booth is granted only if available.

 

 

Cleanliness:

Festival grounds clean up. The vendor is responsible for cleaning up in and around their booth space before leaving event. Your booth and surrounding area will be inspected regularly to ensure you meet with this requirement, you will be asked to vacate premise and forfeit all payment if you fail to oblige with these and all other requirement. There is a dumpster provided for vendor’s disposal trash. Bring your own container to store used cooking oil, do not dump used oil or trash on event grounds!! The area will be monitored for cleanliness.

Insurance and License:

All vendors must provide license & insurance coverage.

 

 

Product Liability Insurance:

Your insurance policy binder must include the following words: (Insurance Certificate that indemnifies Pride and Promote Los Angeles Black Pride)

Non-Profit vendors:

A copy of IRS nonprofit status must be provided with the application form

 

 

Merchandising Vendors:

Provide a copy of your state of California seller’s permit with your application if you will be selling any items

 

 

Fire Safety:

Food vendors are required to have a minimum of 5 pound ABC fire extinguisher in their booth.

 

 

Electricity:

Vendors requiring electricity must furnish counter-tops backdrops, extension cords (12-2 with ground 100? maximum)

 

 

Payments:

NO CASH OR PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED. Cashier Checks or Money Orders only, must be paid in full and sent 10 days before the beginning of the festival.

 

Your payment is Due no later than June 19, 2013, you may be penalized if payment is sent after due date. Proof of sent payment date is considered by the postal date or the electronic payment date.

 

Vendors not paid in full will not be allowed to set up and will forfeit their down payment,

 

We cannot guarantee a vending space if your payment is not received by the due date. We also accept electronic Payments

 

All checks must be sent to “PRIDE & PROMOTE” or to “AT THE BEACH”, there would be a $30 fee for all returned checks
